This Writ Petition is being disposed of at the time of admission after hearing the learned counsel for the Petitioner and learned Special Government Pleader for R2 to R6 and the learned Standing Counsel for R7 & R8.
2. The learned Standing Counsel for R7 and R8 would submit that they have nothing to state in so far as the illegal / illicit liquor that is allegedly being sold in and around Vettuvankeni Gangai Amman Koil Street, Chennai from where the Petitioner is residing.
3. The learned Special Government Pleader for the R2 to R6 would submit that adequate number of police force have been deployed to eradicate the manufacture and sale of illegal / illicit liquor.
4. It is further submitted that R4 will take steps to further strengthen the enforcement resolve ensure that there is neither manufacture nor sale of illegal / illicit liquor, whether on week days or during holidays.
5. Recording the above submissions of the learned counsel for R2 to R6, Page No. 3 of 6
this Writ Petition stands disposed in the light of the undertaking / statement of the learned counsel for R2 to R6. No costs.
