ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to file final report in the First Information Report registered in Crime No.1202 of 2023 for the offence under Sections 294(b), 447, 506(1) and 427 of IPC.

2. The case of the petitioner is that he along with his friends purchased a piece of land in Thailanu Village, Salem and leased out the property to one Raguram to do cultivation. However, he came to know that one Sakthivel illegally trespassed into the property and destroyed the trees in their lands and the pathway is also closed. While the same was questioned by him, the said Sakthivel threatened him. Hence, he filed a complaint and the FIR came to be registered in Crime No.1202 of 2023.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that though FIR was registered in 2023, even after 2 years final report has not been filed.

4. The learned Government Advocate [Criminal Side] on instructions submitted that the investigation is almost over and the respondent will be filing the final report within a period of two months.

5. In view of the submissions of the learned Government Advocate [Criminal Side] appearing for the respondent, there shall be a direction to the respondent Police to file final report within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.

6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
