ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of a Mandamus seeking a direction against the respondents to rectify the anomaly of a junior drawing more pay than the senior and step up the pay of the petitioner on par with his junior D.Sivaraman. The petitioner seeks such payment to be effected on and from 24.10.2002.

2.In the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition, it had been contended that the petitioner had joined service as Secondary Grade Teacher in the year 1971 and had finally retired on attaining the age of superannuation on 30.06.2005. The petitioner had given a representation on 09.08.2018 claiming that he should be considered on par with his junior who had been granted increment. But that representation had been given

nearly about 13 years subsequent to the retirement of the petitioner. A further representation had been given in the year 2024 and thereafter, the petitioner had filed the present writ petition. 3.The respondents may examine the relevant records and pass appropriate orders. They may also examine the issue of delay and latches on the part of the petitioner in seeking the relief. The appeal filed by the petitioner may also be considered. At any rate, necessary orders shall be passed within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.With the above observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
