Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of Writ of Certiorari to call for records of the first respondent in G.O.Ms.No.1184 Home (Transport.I) Department, dated 30.11.2001, enhancing the rate of Motor Vehicles Tax in respect of the petitioner's contract carriage, TN72/V.3999, from Rs.2000 to Rs.3000 per seat, per quarter, and to quash the same.

It is fairly submitted by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that, the identical issue was considered by the Hon'ble Division Bench of this Court, in W.P.Nos.36373 of 2007 etc., batch, in the case of (Tamil Nadu Omni Bus Owners Association, Egmore, Chennai Vs. State of Tamil Nadu) and the Writ Petitions were dismissed, by a common order, dated 13.08.2013.
