ORDER
The petitioner-Company has filed the present Writ Petition praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the first respondent to provide adequate Police protection for ingress and egress of vehicles and people from in and out of the petitioner-Company premises and further vacate the delinquent members of the second respondent, their henchman, supporters by ensuring that no delinquent members assemble illegally in any form within the radius of 700 meters from the petitioner's Company premises, viz., Manali Industrial Area, Manali, Chennai-600 068, pursuant to the petitioner's complaint, dated 06.12.2024.
2. Despite notice sent, the same returned unserved/unclaimed in respect of the second respondent.
3. The person who had sworn to the affidavit filed in support of the 2 / 4
present Writ Petition, is the Authorised Signatory of the petitioner-Company to deal with the present Writ Petition.
4. Learned counsel appearing for the first respondent-Police submitted that the newly elected Union members are conducting the meetings. However, the petitioner herein has claimed only the relief within the radius of 700 meters, and the members of the second respondent/Union should not assemble illegally to do unlawful activities.
5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the first respondent-Police is directed to provide adequate Police protection in case the members of the second respondent-Union commits any illegal activities within the radius of 700 meters.
6. With the above observations and directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, W.M.P.No.41991 of 2024 is closed.
