ORDER

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondent to conduct proper enquiry and issue legal heirship certificate in favour of the petitioner, on the death of her husband A.Kannan.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that she married late Kannan, s/o Kaliyaperuma on 28.10.2022, after death of his first wife Chitra devi on 09.04.2022. The petitioner's husband died on 01.11.2024. Therefore, the petitioner sought legal heirs certificate, by including her name along with the children of the first wife of the deceased and the same has not been considered. Hence, she has come before this Court.

Mr.R.Neelakandan, learned Additional Advocate General, assisted by Mr.S.Balamurugan, learned Government Advocate, who takes notice for the respondent, on written instruction from the respondent by his letter dated 04.01.2025, submits that in view of the objection by the children of the first wife of the deceased, enquiry is slated to be held on 07.01.2025 and final orders will be passed in

accordance with law, based on the enquiry.

4. In view of the submission made by the learned Additional Advocate General, the respondent is directed to complete the enquiry and pass final orders in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
