By consent of both the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as respondents, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner herein seeks a direction to 2nd respondent to issue Class II Legal heirship certificate to the petitioner on the death of her sister namely Thara Shankaran.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that her sister, Thara Shankaran passed away on 16.04.2022 leaving behind no Class-I heirs. It is her specific case that petitioner is the only surviving Class-II heir of Thara Shankaran. Therefore, she submitted an application before the 2nd respondent seeking issuance of legal heirship certificate on 28.07.2022 and the same has not been considered till date. Hence, she has come before this Court.

4. Mr.R.Neelakandan, learned Additional Advocate General assisted by Mr.S.Balamurugan, learned Government Advocate, who takes notice for the respondents, submits that enquiry is pending on the application submitted by the petitioner.

5. In view of the same, this Court, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, is inclined to direct the 2nd respondent to consider the application submitted by the petitioner dated 28.07.2022 and pass final orders on it's own merits within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

6.. With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
