ORDER
The petitioner has sought for a direction to the respondents to issue patta for Survey Nos.518/1 and 517/2 at Painkulam Village, Vilavancode Taluk, Kanyakumari District, to enable him to get electricity connection to the bore well to continue the cultivation.
2. The first respondent has filed a counter affidavit, contending inter alia that in respect of Survey Nos.518/1 and 517/2, an extent of 0.84.5 hectares was classified as UAWD belonging to the Government and the petitioner has encroached upon the land and has raised crops.

3. When the matter was called on 06.07.2017, there was no representation for the petitioner and hence, the matter was directed to be posted today under the caption "for dismissal". Today, though the matter is listed under the caption "for dismissal", there is no representation for the petitioner. Hence, the Writ Petition is dismissed for non-prosecution. No costs.
