ORDER
The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 126(2), 296(b), 115(2), 118(1) and 351(3) of BNS in Crime No.336 of 2024, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

The case of the prosecution is that, the petitioner along with 1/4
other accused picked up quarrel with the defacto complainant and assaulted him with hands and knife. Hence, this case.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that petitioner is innocent and has not committed any offence and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He would further submit that the petitioner is ready to abide by any condition, that may be imposed by this Court and also to appear and co-operate for the investigation, therefore, he prayed for the grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent police opposed for granting anticipatory bail to the petitioner, stating that the petitioner along with other accused picked up a wordy quarrel with the defacto complainant and assaulted him with hands and knife, thereby the defacto complainant sustained injuries. He also submitted that the petitioner has 8 previous cases and the investigation is still pending. 5.
Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent police and perused the materials available on record including the FIR. 2/4

Taking note of the facts and circumstances of the case, the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and considering that the petitioner has 8 previous cases, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
