By consent of both the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as respondents, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to permit the petitioner to pay the Additional Security Deposit of Rs.27,58,447/- mentioned in the demand letter dated 23.08.2024 in 6 equal monthly instalments along with current consumption charges.

Mr.L.Jaivenkatesh, learned Standing Counsel (TNEB), who is taking notice for the respondents would submit that the petitioner may be permitted to pay the Additional Security Deposit of Rs.27,58,447/- in 6 monthly instalments. However, as far as regular current consumption charges are concerned, the petitioner has to pay the entire amount as per the bill.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is ready to pay the current consumption charges as per the bill. However, the petitioner seeks a permission of the Court to pay the Additional Security Deposit amount of Rs.27,58,447/- in 6 monthly instalments.

In view of the statement made by the learned Standing Counsel (TNEB) appearing for the respondents that the petitioner may be permitted to pay Additional Security Deposit in 6 monthly instalments, the petitioner is directed to pay the Additional Security Deposit amount of Rs.27,58,447/- to the respondents in 6 monthly instalments starting from January-2025. In case of default by the petitioner in paying instalments, it is open to the respondents to take action in accordance with law.

6. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
