ORDER

This Suo Motu Case is dealt with in an extraordinary manner by the Dedicated Bench, pursuant to Suo Motu W.P.(Crl.) No.618 of 2025. 2.The case, Cr.No.538 of 2012 was registered for the alleged offence under Section 379, 430 I.P.C r/w. 21(1) of Mines and Minerals Act. The occurrence is of the year 2012. The allegation in this case is that the accused has committed the theft of two units of river sand. It is reported that the case is pending at warrant stage and there is no previous or subsequent previous case against the accused.

3.Considering the nature of the allegation, the antecedents of the accused and since the accused has been facing the case since 2012, any further continuation of the trial would impinge upon his right to a speedy trial of the accused and no useful purpose would be served. shl 4.Accordingly, the case in CC.No.100228/2012 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate Court, Vaniyambadi Taluk, Tirupathur, stands quashed. This Suo Motu Transfer Case is disposed of.
