Prayer:- Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, Directing the respondents 1 to 4 to consider the petitioners representations dated 03.07.2023, 08.04.2024 and thereby direct the respondents to measure the properties in Old survey No.197/3B, New Survey No.197/3B2 total extent of 2520 Sq.ft situated at Arni to Padavedu Road, Mullipattu Village, Arni Taluk, Thiruvannamlai District and to issue the new computer Patta No.705 with correct details as per the sale deed in Document No.2149 / 1991 dated 07.08.1991 on the file of Sub Registrar office, Arni Thiruvannamalai District, 3rd Respondent order vide R.T.R.288/93-94 dated 27.11.1993 and 1/5

decree in O.S.No.206/1999 dated 17.07.2003 and to erect the milestones and fix the Boundaries.

O R D E R

The above Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 to 4 to consider the petitioner's representations dated 03.07.2023, 08.04.2024 and thereby direct the respondents to measure the properties in Old survey No.197/3B, New Survey No.197/3B2 total extent of 2520 Sq.ft situate at Arni to Padavedu Road, Mullipattu Village, Arni Taluk, Thiruvannamlai District and to issue the new computer Patta No.705 with correct details as per the sale deed in Document No.2149/1991 dated 07.08.1991, on the file of Sub Registrar office, Arni Thiruvannamalai District, 3rd Respondent order vide R.T.R.288/93-94 dated 27.11.1993 and decree in O.S.No.206/1999 dated 17.07.2003 and to erect the milestones and fix the Boundaries.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that despite making representations on 03.07.2023 and 08.04.2024, the respondents have not taken any steps to measure the land in question, correct the 2/5

mistakes in the computer patta No.705 and issue a new patta.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Spl.GP. accepting notice for respondents 1 to 4.

Considering the limited nature of the prayer sought, the writ petition is allowed and a Mandamus is issued to the respondents to consider the representations dated 03.07.2023 and 08.04.2024 of the petitioner for measuring the subject property, correct the mistakes in the computer patta no.705 and issue a new patta. The petitioner shall submit all the relevant records to show his title to the subject property and the respondents shall, after issuing notice to the adjacent land owners and interested parties, hold an enquiry and thereafter, pass orders. In the case of rejection, a speaking order shall be passed. The aforesaid exercise shall be completed within a period of 4 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
