ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for the issue of a writ of mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 28.11.2024, wherein the petitioner is seeking for grant of patta in the name of the petitioner and other siblings with respect to the subject property. 2.Heard Mr.Kabeer Ahmed K.Z, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader for R1 to R3. 3.The petitioner is placing reliance upon the sale deed dated 25.04.1988 registered as Document No.2115 of 1988. According to the petitioner, the patta stood in the name of his father and after his demise, the property has been inherited by the petitioner and other siblings. When they applied for transfer of patta in their name, 2 / 4
the same came to be rejected by the 2nd respondent through proceedings dated 14.08.2024. Aggrieved by the same, appeal was filed before the 2nd respondent on 28.11.2024. Since the same was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.
4.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the 2nd respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 28.11.2024, on its own merits and in accordance with law after affording opportunity to the 4th respondent and orders shall be passed within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of the order.
