ORDER
(The Order of the Court was made by P.Velmurugan, J) This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed to call for records pertaining to the order of detention passed by the second respondent in his proceedings in No.505/BBCDEFGISSSV/2025, dated 25.07.2025 and quash the same as illegal and produce the detenu, namely Rajkumar S/o.Ravichandran aged 27 years, Drug Offender, now is confined in Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai, before this Court and set him at liberty on the ground of delay in passing the detention order.
2. A perusal of records shows that the detenu was arrested on 17.06.2025 and the detention order has been passed with delay on 25.07.2025 and that the delay has not been properly explained. Therefore, this Court is inclined to quash the detention order.
3. Accordingly, the order of detention passed by the second respondent dated 25.07.2025 against the detenu namely Rajkumar S/o.Ravichandran aged 27 years, is hereby quashed.

4. The detenu namely Rajkumar S/o.Ravichandran, is directed to be set at liberty forthwith, unless he is required in connection with any other case.
