ORDER

The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 296(b), 75(2), 77, 79, 351(3) of BNS Act, 2023, in Crime No.222 of 2025, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2.It is the case of the prosecution that when the defacto complainant and the petitioner were in school, they had a love affair. They did not get married due to family circumstances. It is alleged that while the petitioner was abroad, they were in frequent contact and spoke intimately. During such conversations, the petitioner took unclothed video of the defacto complainant and threatened her. He had also demanded and obtained money from her. After his return to India, the petitioner along with his wife harassed the defacto complainant and they have also threatened the defacto complainant by showing the naked videos of the defacto complainant to the neighbours. Hence, the complaint.

3.Considering the grievous offence committed by the petitioner and also considering the fact that the petitioner has spread the videos of the defacto 2/4

complainant on whatsapp and threatened her, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail.
