The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 24.08.2025, for the offence punishable under Sections 296(b), 115, 311, 351(3) of BNS, 2023 in Crime No.1071 of 2025, registered on the file of the respondent, seeks bail.

2. The allegation against the petitioner is that the petitioner waylaid the defacto complainant and robbed a sum of Rs.450/- at knife point. Hence, the case.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prays to grant bail to the petitioner.

4. Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that the petitioner is an habitual offendor and there are 26 previous cases against him and he is an history sheeter. Hence, he strongly opposed the grant of bail to the petitioner.

5. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record. 2/4

6. Considering the gravity of the offence committed by the petitioner and also considering the fact that the petitioner is an history sheeter and there are several previous cases against him, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
