ORDER
The Writ Petitioner seeks for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to take legal action in accordance with law on merits and dispose of the petitioner by considering the petitioner's representations, dated 23.09.2025.
2. By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage.
3. According to the petitioner, the petitioner's jewels have been pledged with the respondents 1 to 3 bank by the 4th respondent and now the 4th respondent is taking steps to redeem the jewels belonging to the petitioner. The petitioner has made a representation dated 23.09.2025 to the respondents bank, setting out her objections. However, the same has not been considered till date. Hence, this Writ Petition.
4. Mr.B.Siva, learned Standing counsel takes notice for the Respondents 1 to 3.
5. In view of the limited prayer sought for in this Writ petitioner, the respondents 1 to 3 are directed to deal with the objections of the petitioner after affording a fair opportunity to the petitioner as well as the 4th
respondent before passing any final orders regarding the return of jewellery, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. The learned counsel for the petitioner stated that the Bank is about to hand over the jewellery belonging to the petitioner in a day or two. It has been made clear in the foregoing paragraph that the decision to return the jewellery to the 4th respondent would be subject to hearing and considering the objections of the petitioner. Therefore, the petitioner need not have any apprehension that without hearing the petitioner, the jewellery would be handed over to the 4th respondent.
