The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 10.09.2025, for the offence punishable under Sections 316, 319(2), 318, 336, 340(2) of 61 of BNS, 2023 in Crime No.595 of 2024, registered on the file of the respondent, seeks bail.

2. The allegation against the petitioner is that the petitioner joining hands with other accused, impersonated the original owner and sold the property of the defacto complainant and received a sum of Rs.92 lakhs an thereby, they had cheated the defacto complainant. Hence, the case.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner's role is limited and he had only introduced the purchaser and not aware of the transaction taken place between the parties. Hence, he prays to grant bail to the petitioner.
4. Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that, investigation is pending . Hence, he strongly opposed the grant of bail to the petitioner.
5. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.
6. Considering the gravity of the offence committed by the 2/4
petitioner and also the fact that the petitioner also largely benefited from the transaction and investigation is pending and money is not yet recovered, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
