ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for direction directing the the second respondent to permit the petitioner to participate in the next counselling to be held in the first week of October, 2025 filling up the under Graduation seats by considering her as Religious (Christian) Minority based on the request sent by the petitioner dated 25.09.2025. 2.

The petitioner had applied for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test(UG) 2025 (hereinafter after referred to as "NEET") and the result was declared and she scored 307 out of 720 marks. She applied through browsing center and she has filled up the particulars in column 12(a) viz., Religious Minority Category as 'No' instead of 'Yes'. Therefore, she was not considered under the Religious Minority. Hence, the petitioner had submitted application to consider his candidature under Christian Minority for the UG seats.

3.

The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that now first round and second round of counsellings were already over and the third round of counseling is started. Further, the petitioner cannot be permitted under Religious (Christian) Minority Category, since she filed application under BC community category and not under the Religious Minority Category. Even then, if the petitioner permitted to participate in the next round of counseling under the Religious Minority Category, she will not be selected since all the seats were filled up under the Religious Minority Category. If one or two seats are available due to selecting other courses during the third round of counseling, other candidates under the Religious Minority Category are already waiting in queue and the next candidate will have to be considered in the third round of counselling. 4.

In view of the above facts and circumstances, the second respondent is directed to permit the petitioner to participate in the next counselling to fill up UG seats by considering her candidature as Religious (Christian) Minority. It is also made clear that the name of the

petitioner shall be added as last candidate under religious minority category.

5.

With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
