Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent Police submitted that as on date, the petitioner is not shown as an accused in this case. However, the petitioner is required for the purpose of investigation.

In view of the above submissions made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), this Court directs the petitioner to appear before the respondent police as and when required for investigation. If a prima facie case is made out as against the petitioner in connection with the Crime No.3 of 2023, it is open to the petitioner to move an application seeking anticipatory bail. 3.
With the above observation and direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
