ORDER

The petitioner seeks issuance of a writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent Corporation to pay interest on the delayed disbursement of EPF, EGF, Leave Surrender and Pension Loan Amounts for the period commencing from 01.05.2023 to February 2025 at the rate of 24% per annum.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel for the respondent.

Though the petitioner has sought for interest to be paid at the rate of 24% per month, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent/Corporation states that the petitioner would be only eligible for 6% interest on the delayed payment. In fact, in a similar writ petition in W.P.No.530 of 2025 dated 09.01.2025, this Court disposed of the matter, directing the Corporation to pay the amounts due to the petitioner, if not already paid, together with interest at 6% for the delayed period. The said payment shall be made within a period of eight (8) weeks from 2/4

the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. In fine, the writ petition stands disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
