ORDER

The petitioner, who apprehends arrest for the alleged offence under Sections 118(1) (324 of IPC), 351(3), (506(2) of IPC) of BNS Act, r/w Section 4 of Tamilnadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002 in 1/4

Cr.No.257 of 2025 on the file of the respondent police seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The allegation against the petitioner is that he is relative of the defacto complainant and there was a quarrel between the petitioner and the defacto complainant regarding civil dispute already existing between them. Due to which, the petitioner has used the cricket stump and mat, attacked the defacto complainant and caused injuries to her. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in this case and he has not committed any such offence as alleged by the prosecution. Hence, he prayed that anticipatory bail may be granted to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police reiterated the prosecution case and reported that the victim is nine months pregnant lady and she is still in hospital. Hence, he opposed the grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 2/4

5. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.

6. Considering the fact that the victim is nine months pregnant lady and she is still in hospital, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

7. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 10.10.2025 Vv To
