The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 07.08.2025, for the offence punishable under Sections 8(c) r/w. 20(b)(ii)(B), 25, 29(1) of NDPS, Act, 1985 in Crime No.558 of 2025, registered on the file of the respondent, seeks bail. 1/5

2. The allegation against the petitioner is that the petitioner along with other accused were found in possession of 7.200 kgs of ganja. Hence, the case.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submitted that recovered contraband is an intermediate quantity and no similar offence is pending against this petitioner and the petitioner is ready to abide by any condition imposed by this Court. Hence, he prays to grant bail to the petitioner.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that the petitioner is having two previous cases under NDPS Act and goondas proposal. He further submitted that investigation in this case is still pending. Hence, he opposed for grant of bail to the petitioner.

6. Considering the gravity of the offence committed by the petitioner, the bad antecedents of the petitioner and the fact that investigation is pending, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
