Prayer: Writ Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the 2nd respondent to issue patta in petitioner name by considering the petitioner's representations dated 05.12.2024 and 14.12.2024 in Survey No.304/1 as per law within time limitation.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition is filed to direct the second respondent to issue patta in the name of the petitioner by considering the petitioner's representations dated 05.12.2024 and 14.12.2024 in S.No.304/1 within a time frame as fixed by this Court.

2.The petitioner would submit that the petitioner's father-in-law was living in Natham land having 6 cents constructing a hut in Natham S.No.304/1, situated at Malaiyanur Village, Veppur Taluk, Cuddalore District. He was in possession and enjoyment of the property for several years. After his death, his second son and petitioner's husband lived along with three children in the said property. The petitioner also constructed a house under Government's PMAY Scheme and residing there. The petitioner has been paying House Tax, Water Tax and EB bill to the Government for several years.

3.Therefore, the petitioner made a representation to the respondents on 05.12.2024 and 14.12.2024. Despite the receipt of the said representations, no steps have been taken to issue the patta. Therefore, the petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition for mandamus.

4.Considering the limited request, mandamus is issued to the second 2/4

respondent to consider the representations of the petitioner for issuing patta after giving due notice to the petitioner as well as interested parties and pass orders after giving them a personal hearing and an opportunity to submit her records. The second respondent shall pass a speaking order, within a period of 5 months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.The Writ Petition is allowed. No costs.
