O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition is filed for a direction to respondent viz., the Inspector of Police, Chennai Central, GRP Chennai, Chennai District to complete the investigation and file a final report in Crime No.118 of 2024 before the concerned Court within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. According to the petitioner, it is admitted that her husband has a history of going out and returning after some time. It is also admitted that a Habeas Corpus Petition in H.C.P.No.1063 of 2024) was filed, which was dismissed by this Court on 10.06.2024, with directions to expedite the investigation and file the final report. However, despite the filing of the Habeas Corpus Petition, no substantial progress has been made in locating the petitioner's husband.

4. In light of these circumstances, no specific direction can be issued at this stage. However, the respondent police is directed to continue the investigation and file the charge sheet, as expeditiously as possible. 2/4

5. With the above observations, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
