ORDER

Heard Mr.M.Velmurugan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.E.Sundaram, learned Government Advocate appearing for the first respondent and Mr.C.Kathiravan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the 2nd respondent.

2. The petitioner seeks limited relief of issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 20.09.2025 regarding availability of Ex-servicemen Quota. According to the petitioner, if such a quota is available, then the petitioner is eligible to get appointed under the said quota.

3. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the 2nd respondent states that the petitioner has already made a representation and the same would be considered and disposed of on merits. He further 2/4

states that the reply given by the respondents is not in any way going to be helpful for the petitioner, who is anyway going to appear for the exams. However, considering the fact that the eligibility of the petitioner is under consideration and it may have a bearing on whether the petitioner can secure appointment under the Ex-servicemen quota, I am inclined to direct the 2nd respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation on or before 15.10.2025 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law.
