Prayer Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents not to convert or use the water canal in order to access the proposed project namely Sewage Sludge Treatment Plant in Survey No.411/4 situated at Veeraganur North village Veeraganur Town Panchayat Thalaivasal Taluk Salem District and consequently to direct the respondents to maintain water canal comprising in S.No.345/7 in Veeraganur village Thalaivasal Taluk Salem District without any alteration based on the representation of the petitioner dated 14.11.2024 For Petitioners : Mr.T.Sella Pandian For Respondents 1 to 7 : Mr.V.Veluchamy Additional Government Pleader For Respondent -8 : Mr.S.Doraisamy 2/6

Order Heard Mr.T.Sella Pandian, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Mr.V.Veluchamy, learned Additional Government Pleader for respondents 1 to 7 and Mr.S.Doraisamy, learned counsel for the respondent No.8.

This Writ Petition is filed seeking for the following prayer:- For a mandamus directing the respondents not to convert or use the water canal in order to access the proposed project namely, 'Sewage Sludge Treatment Plant' in Survey No.411/4 situated at Veeraganur North village Veeraganur Town Panchayat Thalaivasal Taluk, Salem District and consequently to direct the respondents to maintain water canal comprising in S.No.345/7 in Veeraganur village Thalaivasal Taluk, Salem District without any alteration based on the representation of the petitioner dated 14.11.2024

Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner seeking for the aforesaid relief, has made a representation dated 14.10.2024 to the respondents, however, as on the date, the same has not evoked any response, which necessitated the petitioner to approach this Court by way of present Writ Petition seeking for the aforesaid relief. 3/6

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader for the Official Respondents, viz., respondents 1 to 7 fairly submitted that the representation made by the petitioner would be considered and disposed of within the time, that may be stipulated by this Court.

5. Considering the limited scope of the prayer, sought for, in this Writ Petition, this Court is of the view that suffice it would be to direct the sixth respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation on merits and in accordance with law in a time bound manner.

6. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the sixth respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 14.11.2024 on merits and in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition No.42985 of 2024 is ordered and W.M.P.No.42986 of 2024 is closed. 09.03.2026 sd Index : yes/no 4/6
