O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondents /Police to provide police protection to the petitioner and her family members by considering the representation of the petitioner made on 29.09.2025.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner seeks police protection on the ground that the respondents 3 and 4 being dominant persons in the village, had unlawfully attacked the petitioner, causing injuries. Despite the petitioner having immediately informed the jurisdictional police and sent representation, no case had been filed by the respondent Police. The inaction of the police has emboldened the said respondents, who continue to threaten and intimidate the petitioner and his family. It is further submitted that, due to the influence and dominance of respondents 3 and 4 in the locality, the petitioner apprehends danger to his life and property and hence, he seeks police protection.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), on instructions, submitted that based on the petitioner's complaint, an FIR has been registered on 02.10.2025 for the offences under Section 191(2), 191(3), 2/4

296(b), 115(2), 118(1)of BNSS and Section 4 of the Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002, against nine persons.

4. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.

5. In view of the fact that the F.I.R has already been registered, the respondents 1 and 2 are directed to proceed with the investigation in accordance with law. Hence, there is no requirement for police protection at present.

6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. 08.10.2025 kak To 1.
