O R D E R

The petitioner herein apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offence punishable under Sections 296(b), 115(2), 118(1), 351(3) of BNS, in Crime No.401 of 2025, on the file of the respondent Police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that on 05.02.2025, the de facto complainant organized a protest for the closure of a TASMAC shop and gave a press interview. During this, the petitioner and others allegedly used abusive language and, when questioned, assaulted the complainant with hands and stones. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is innocent and has been falsely implicated in this case . He further submitted that the petitioner is ready to abide by any stringent conditions that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prayed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the 2/4

respondent police reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that there are totally three accused in this case, and the petitioner is ranked as A1. He further submitted that 15 previous cases are pending against the petitioner. Hence, he opposed the grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Considering the gravity of the offences and bad antecedents, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
