ORDER
Challenging the order in Ref.No.84552/N2/2025 dated 17.09.2025 passed by the first respondent, deputing the petitioner from Government Rajamirasudar Hospital, Thanjavur to K.A.P. Viswanatham Medical College, Trichy, the present writ petition has been filed.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that petitioner has been deputed to K.A.P. Viswanatham Medical College, Trichy as a punitive measure.
3. Per contra, the learned Additional Government Pleader, appearing for respondents would submit that the petitioner was promoted as Nursing Tutor Grade I and she was initially transferred to Thanjavur. Since the nursing college in Thanjavur has not started functioning, the petitioner's post was kept idle and thereby, in the interest of administration, the petitioner has been deputed to K.A.P. Viswanatham Medical College, Trichy, which is 50 kilometers away. He would submit that deputation is only an incident of service and the petitioner cannot 2/5
challenge the same.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has suffered a Cervical Collar Bone Fracture and therefore, she may be permitted to join next week.
5. This Court does not find any infirmity in the deputation order dated 17.09.2025. Therefore, the writ petition stands dismissed. However, the respondents shall accommodate the petitioner in the K.A.P. Viswanatham Medical College, Trichy, on 29.10.2025. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
