O R D E R

This Contempt Petition has been filed to punish the respondent for non-compliance of the order dated 28.10.2021 passed by this Court in W.P.No.16321 of 2014 thereby directed to refer the Award passed in respect of the subject property comprised in S.No.85, situated at Panchal 1/4

Village, Tirupattur Taluk, Vellore District before the referral Court as contemplated under Section 20(1) of the Tamil Nadu Highways Act, 2001 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order.

The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent submitted that as directed by this Court, the respondent has filed a status report on 18.02.2025 stating that the matter relating to subject property to the court under section 20(1) Tamil Nadu Highways Act 2001 (procedure as per section 18 of Land Acquisition Act.1/1894. He also produced a copy of the status report dated 18.02.2025 filed by the respondent, before this Court.

3. Recording the said submission, this Contempt Petition is closed.
