ORDER

This Suo Motu Case is dealt with in an extraordinary manner by the Dedicated Bench, pursuant to Suo Motu W.P.(Crl.) No.618 of 2025. 2.The case, Cr.No.5 of 2014 was registered for the alleged offence under Section 379, 430 and 353 I.P.C. The occurrence is of the year 2014. The allegation in this case is that the accused has committed the theft of 1⁄4 unit of gravel soil. It is reported that the case is pending at summons stage and there is no previous or subsequent previous case against the accused. 3.Considering the nature of the allegation, the antecedents of the accused and since the accused has been facing the case since 2012, any further continuation of the trial would impinge upon his right to a speedy trial of the accused and no useful purpose would be served.
