2. All these cases arises out of a common occurrence. The occurrence is on 18.07.1990. There was a communal clash during a Temple festival on account of which all these accused were arrayed. It is seen that the case has been split up on many ocassions. It is reported that the identity of many accused itself is doubtful, whether such persons exist or not. Some of the persons are reported to be dead and warrant and summons is pending for some of them. The matter is pending for the past thirty five years. Absolutely no useful purpose will be served in keeping the matter pending. Even if any accused is identified and brought to face trial, the same will impinge upon the right to speedy trial. Considering the fact that thirty five years have gone by and the people in the vicinity are living a peaceful life. These case cannot be continued to be on the file of the Magistrate. 3. Accordingly, the cases in PRC.Nos.9 of 2019, 10010 of 1992, 13 to 15 of 2023 and 100004 of 1991 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate Court, Harur Taluk, Dharmapuri stand quashed and this Suo Motu Transfer cases are disposed of.

06.10.2025 rap electronically alone. The Trial Court shall take note of the order and accordingly classify the case pending before them as allowed / dismissed / disposed of, etc, and while doing so, consider any applications such as disposal of properties, etc., and pass appropriate orders, as may be necessary. Further, the Court below is directed to dispatch the copy of this order to all concerned.
