The writ petition has been filed in the nature of a Mandamus seeking a direction against the respondents particularly the 2nd respondent, Assistant Revenue Officer, Zone-13, Greater Chennai Corporation, Adayar, Chennai, to examine an application given by the petitioner on 11.03.2024, by which application the petitioner had sought issuance of Trade License for storing and selling of building materials like Bricks, Sand and Blue Metal Aggregates. The petitioner seeks such license should be given for conducting such business at Plot Nos.101 & 102, Door No.38, Anjugammal Street, Thanthai Periyar Nagar, Taramani, Chennai 600 113.
2.Mrs.K.Aswini Devi, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for R1 and R2. It is contended that the petitioner already has a trade license storing and 2 / 4
selling cement in same place. The selling of Bricks, Sand and Blue Metal Aggregates are allied products. It is contended that the application of the petitioner would be considered and in accordance with the procedure as is stipulated. The entire exercise may be completed within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 3.The Writ Petition stands disposed of.
