ORDER

This contempt petition has been filed alleging violation of the order dated 26.04.2024 passed in W.P.No.35405 of 2019, whereby this Court directed the respondents to take steps to release all service benefits to the petitioner pursuant to his initial appointment as a Driver on par with other similarly placed persons and to pay all arrears. 2.

In response to the notice issued by this Court, Mr.R.Neelakandan, learned Additional Advocate General assisted by Mr.C.Kathiravan, learned Standing Counsel for the respondent Corporation placed before this Court a copy of the proceedings gh/vz;/ -gp3-g2-jehmnghf-nfh-<k/2024 dated 08.08.2024, fixing the pay of the petitioner purportedly an order in compliance with the order passed by this Court. However, learned counsel for the petitioner disputed the same and raised various contentions to find fault with the said proceedings dated 08.08.2024.

This Court, after having heard learned counsel on either side, is of the considered view that the contentions that are raised by the learned counsel for the petitioner pointing out the defects in the proceedings dated 08.08.2024 cannot be gone into this contempt proceedings. 2/4

In the light of the above, this Court is of the view that the respondents have not committed any contempt, much less deliberate contempt. Hence, the contempt petition is closed. However, in case, if the petitioner is aggrieved by the proceedings dated 08.08.2024, it is left open for the petitioner to take appropriate steps in accordance with law. 11.08.2025 dpa Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes / No 3/4
