O R D E R

By consent of both the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as respondents, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner herein seeks a direction to respondents 1 and 2 to dispose of his representation dated 28/04/2023 seeking allotment of flat constructed by the 1st respondent/TNUHD Board.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that originally, he resided at Nethaji Nagar, Venbakkam Village, Chengalpattu district temporarily and he had no property on his own and hence, he submitted an application before the 1st respondent seeking allotment of flat under the scheme promoted by the 1st respondent and the same has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court.

4. M/s.K.Indumathy Venkatesh, learned Standing Counsel (TNSCB) takes notice for the 1st respondent and Mr.G.Ameedius, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the 2nd respondent.

5. The learned Standing Counsel (TNSCB) for the 1st respondent submits that 2nd respondent has to consider the request of the petitioner and 2/4

make necessary recommendation to the 1st respondent after taking into consideration the eligibility criteria in this regard. The 1st respondent Board already sent a communication to the 2nd respondent on 05.06.2024 requesting him to conduct enquiry and recommend to the 1st respondent regarding the eligibility of the petitioner.

6.In view of the same, this Court, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, is inclined to direct the 2nd respondent to conduct necessary enquiry and make his recommendation to the 1st respondent on merits on the request made by the petitioner for allotment of flat within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

7. With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
