Writ Petition, filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to refund a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- collected as additional security deposit so far as the petitioner Shop No.29, Licence No.196/2002, situated at Kavundapadi Village, Bhavani Taluk, Erode District.

Heard M/s.P.T.Ramadevi, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, and M/s.A. Srijayanthi, learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents.

The petitioner, who was issued with IMFL licence for the year 2001-2002, has approached this Court, praying for a direction upon the respondents to refund the additional security deposit paid by him, in respect of Shop No.29, Licence No.196/2002, situated at Kavundapadi Village, Bhavani Taluk, Erode District.

The learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents submits that, if a representation is given by the petitioner, the same will be considered by the respondents in accordance with law.

In view of the above submission of the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents, this Writ Petition is disposed of, giving liberty to the petitioner to submit a representation to the second respondent along with a copy of this order, and, as and when, the representation is made, the second respondent shall consider the same in accordance with law and pass orders as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of the representation. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
