ORDER

This writ petition is superfluous in nature. Seeking the very same relief, W.P.No.31128 of 2024 had been filed by two ward members. The present writ petition has been filed by twelve other ward members. All of them seek a No Confidence Motion to be taken up. The petitioners had given a representation on 01.10.2024. The writ petitioners in W.P.No.31128 of 2024 had given a representation on 02.09.2024.

2.A learned single Judge of this Court had disposed of the said writ petition, directing further proceedings to be initiated. Further proceedings had been initiated and the date to consider the No Confidence Motion was fixed as 01.11.2024. But that happened to be a public holiday. It is complained that subsequently no further date had been determined by the respondents.

3.However, the learned Special Government Pleader pointed out that proceedings had been issued seeking a date to be determined for the No Confidence Motion, and would be fixed in due course.

4.A direction is issued to the 3rd respondent, Executive Officer, Kodumudi

Town Panchayat at Erode District to determine a date at the earliest, preferably, within three weeks from this date for the No Confidence Motion to be discussed by the members.

5.This writ petition stands disposed of. No Costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
