ORDER

This petition has been filed to modify the bail condition that one among the sureties should be a Government Surety in Crl.MP.No.13299 of 2024 dated 03.12.2024 on the file of the Principal Special Court under EC & NDPS Act cases at Chennai, in Cr.No.148 of 2024 on the file of the respondent police Station.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is a native of Bihar and no Government servant is ready to stand as surety to the petitioner, thereby he is unable to come out of bail. He would submit that in the alternative, the petitioner is ready to furnish blood related sureties.

3. The Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) vehemenly objects and would submit that the petitioner is a native of Bihar and he was found in possession of 1.500kg Ganja.

4. Considering the submissions of both sides and the nature of offence, the condition imposed on the petitioner in Crl.M.P. No.13299 of 2024 on 03.12.2024, is modified to the effect that the petitioner shall execute a bond for Rs.10,000/- with two sureties, out of which, one should be a blood related surety. The blood related surety shall furnish proper documents to show proof of permanent residence in State of Bihar.
