Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to incorporate the entries relating to the cancellation of sale deed dated 02.05.2006 document no 2829/2006 and sale deed dated 29.03.2007 document no. 2273/2007 by virtue of judgement passed in OS no. 186/2007 on the file of the Additional sub judge, Pondicherry, vide representation dated 12.09.2025 1/4

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to incorporate the entries relating to the cancellation of sale deed dated 02.05.2006 document No.2829/2006 and sale deed dated 29.03.2007 document No.2273/2007 by virtue of judgement passed in OS.No. 186/2007 on the file of the Additional sub judge, Pondicherry.

2. During the earlier occasion, this Court vide order dated 13.10.2025, directed the 1st respondent to register to the extent, which reads as follows:

"The Additional Sub Judge, Pondicherry, vide judgement dated 06.03.2013, had declared sale deeds dated 02.05.2006 and 29.03.2007 under Document Nos.2829/2006 and 2273/2007 registered in the Office of the Sub-Registrar, Oulgaret, Pondicherry, as null and void."

3. Today, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing 2/4

for the respondent would submit that pursuant to the above order, the 1st respondent had made necessary entries with regard to the cancellation of sale deeds dated 02.05.2006 and 29.03.2007 under Document Nos. 2829/2006 and 2273/2007. To substantiate the same, a copy of the Encumbrance Certificate was also produced before this Court. Hence, he would submit that the prayer in this petition has become infructuous and thus, requests this Court to close the present petition.

4. In view of the above, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No cost.
