ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to settle the retirement benefits to the petitioner as on the date of his retirement on 31.05.2025 in accordance with last drawn scale of pay as per the Tamil Nadu 2/6

Pension Rules, with all consequential and other attendant benefits, including interest for delay in payment, in consideration of representation submitted by the petitioner dated 23.05.2025.

2. Mrs.Mythreye Chandru, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents 1 to 4 and Mr.V.Vijay Shankar, learned counsel takes notice for the 5th respondent.

3. In view of the consent expressed by the learned counsel on either side, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court has disposed of a similar matter in W.P.(MD) No.2654, 2924 & 2663 of 2018 and 15980 and 17497 of 2014 vide order dated 19.03.2018 and hence, it would suffice, if a direction is issued by this Court to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 23.05.2025 in the light of the aforesaid order, within a time frame.

5. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 4 would fairly submit that the aforesaid representation of the petitioner will be considered by the respondents 1 to 4 and accordingly, directions may be issued by this Court.

6. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court.

7. In view of the limited relief sought by the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents 1 to 4 to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 23.05.2025 in the light of the order passed by this Court in W.P.(MD) No.2654, 2924 & 2663 of 2018 and W.P.(MD) No.15980 & 17497 of 2014 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

8. With the above directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
