ORDER

This petition is filed for extension of time granted by this Court for payment of the remaining four instalments vide a common order dated 20.03.2024 made in W.P.Nos.7124 and 7127 of 2024 etc.,

2. In the said order, it is ordered that a penal interest to the tune of Rs.49,81,089/- shall be paid in ten equated monthly instalments starting from 20.06.2024. It is stated on behalf of the petitioner that starting from 20.06.2024, already six instalments have been paid. In the normal course, seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth instalments should have been paid in December, 2024, January, 2025, February, 2025 and March, 2025. Now four months extension is sought for by the petitioner.

3. Considering the fact that the petitioner has paid six instalments and the limited prayer that is made, even though learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents/EPF Organisation would vehemently oppose that already extension of time was granted in the main writ petition, I am of the view that 2/4

time granted can be extended as prayed for. Therefore, the balance four instalments shall be paid in the months of March, 2025, April, 2025, May, 2025 and June, 2025, on or before 20th of the respective months.
