Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to refund the amount deducted from the salaries of the Petitioners, towards the Contributory Pension Scheme, during their temporary bond service in the 6th to 10th Respondent Government Colleges and Hospitals, along with interest at the rate fixed by the Government, within a time limit. For Petitioners :

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed in the nature of a mandamus, directing the respondents to refund the amount deducted from the salaries of the Petitioners, towards the Contributory Pension Scheme, during their temporary bond service in the 6th to 10th Respondent Government Colleges and Hospitals, along with interest at the rate 4/10

fixed by the Government, within a time limit. 2.It is unfortunate that the petitioners have been compelled to file this writ petition, seeking refund of the amounts that were deducted from their salaries.

3.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1, 4 and 5 to 10 and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the 2nd respondent request 12 weeks time to refund the amounts.

4. In view of the above submission of the learned Additional Government Pleader and the learned Government Advocate, a direction is given to the respondents to refund the amounts to the petitioners within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, failing which, the respondents shall be liable to pay interest at the rate of 18% per annum, calculated from the date on which the bond 5/10

period concluded until the date of actual disbursement. 5.This writ petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
