ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.M.Subramaniam J.) With reference to the relief sought for, in the present writ petition, the learned Additional Government Pleader would submit that survey was conducted, encroachments were identified and notice under Section 7 of the Tamil Nadu Land Encroachment Act were issued to the encroachers. The noticees have already submitted their respective explanation to the revenue authorities.

2. The authorities are competent to consider the explanation and

take a final decision regarding the encroachments identified and thereafter, proceed with the enforcement action for removal of encroachments by following the procedures as contemplated under law. The said exercise is directed to be completed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
