This writ petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 07.07.2025 and to consequently review the suspension order in Roc.No.1552/2025/A2 dated 04.04.2025, as per the Government Orders in G.O.Ms.No.81 Human Resources Management (N) Department dated 04.08.2022 and G.O.(D).No.450 Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department dated 01.08.2023 respectively.

2. Mr.Yogesh Kannadasan, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondent. In view of the consent expressed by the learned counsel on either side, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The case of the petitioner is that, he was appointed as a Village Assistant at Naranampalyam Village through Employment Exchange on 21.01.2008 and his services were subsequently regularised and he was later transferred to Chellapilaikuttai Village, Omalur Taluk, Salem District on 30.04.2009. While so, pursuant to the complaint made by one Rajendran, 2/6

alleging that the petitioner demanded a sum of Rs.10,000/- for issuance of patta, the petitioner was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 02.04.2025 and a criminal case came to be registered in this regard in Cr.No.03/AC/2025 dated 04.04.2025 and the petitioner was subsequently suspended from service on 04.04.2025. However, even after a lapse of about six months, as the investigation was not completed and the final report was not filed, the petitioner made a representation before the respondent on 07.07.2025 seeking to review the suspension order in the light of G.O.Ms.No.81 Human Resources Management (N) Department dated 04.08.2022 and G.O.(D).No.450 Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department dated 01.08.2023 respectively. However, as the same evoked no response, the petitioner has come up with this writ petition.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, it would suffice, if this Court issues a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 07.07.2025 and to consequently review the suspension order in Roc.No.1552/2025/A2 dated 04.04.2025 in the light of G.O.Ms.No.81 Human Resources Management (N) Department dated 3/6

04.08.2022 and G.O.(D).No.450 Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department dated 01.08.2023 and pass appropriate orders, as expeditiously as possible.

5. Learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent submitted that, appropriate orders will be passed on the petitioner's representation dated 07.07.2025 within the time stipulated by this Court.

In view of the above, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 07.07.2025 in the light of G.O.Ms.No.81 Human Resources Management (N) Department dated 04.08.2022 and G.O.(D).No.450 Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department dated 01.08.2023 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. 4/6

7. With the above directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
