This Writ Petition (Criminal) has been filed to direct the respondents 1 & 2 herein to hand over the vacant possession of the lands bearing Plot No.5, Rajarajan Nagar, Mettukuppam, Vanagaram, Chennai - 600 095, measuring about 8160 Sq. Ft. situated in Survey No.131/2, Vanagaram Village, Maduravoyal Taluk, to the petitioner herein within a stipulated period.

According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the subject property was leased out to the private respondent/4th respondent who has been arrayed as A1 in connection with Crime No.6 of 2023 on the file of CBCID-North, Villupuram Police Station, for allegedly mixing some chemicals and he has been charged under the prohibition Act. His contention is that though the lease period has already been over and the 4th respondent is ready to hand over the possession, the police is not permitting the take possession.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that the chemicals are stored in that place. After taking samples, the possession will be handed over and it will take 20 days.
