ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 3 to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 29.08.2025 wherein the petitioner has sought for sub-division of survey No.257/1A1 measuring an extent of 395 sq.mtr., which has been wrongly converted as a public path.

2. Heard Mr.P.Maharajan, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.D.Ravichander, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for respondents.

3. The case of the petitioner is that the property was converted into a natham patta and sub-division was made resulting in new Survey Nos.257/1A1 and 257/1A2. Insofar as survey No.257/1A1 is concerned, it has been wrongly converted as a Ther Paathai - Public Path without any notice and without any supporting documents. The petitioner was aggrieved by the said classification in respect of Survey No.257/1A1 and hence, he submitted a representation to the respondents to restore the patta in the name of petitioner's grandfather as per the UDR entries, wherein it stood in the name of the petitioner's grandfather. The 2/4

representation sent by the petitioner on 29.08.2025 did not evoke any response. It is under these circumstances, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the third respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 29.08.2025 on its own merits and in accordance with law and pass final orders within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
