ORDER
This writ petition has been filed seeking for a mandamus to direct the 2nd respondent to forward the proposal submitted by the 3rd respondent in Na.Ka.5153/2019/va2 dated 21.10.2019 and additional particulars in 2/8
Na.Ka.5153/2019/va2 dated 01.02.2021, 16.02.2021 and 25.07.2022, to the 1st respondent and to consequently, direct the 1st respondent to pass appropriate orders for permanent absorption of the petitioner in the 6th respondent society.
2. Ms.Geetha Thamarai Selvan, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 4. In view of the consent expressed by the learned counsel on either side, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. Since no adverse order is passed against the 5th and 6th respondents, notice to the 5th and 6th respondents is dispensed with.

The case of the petitioner is that, she was initially appointed as a Clerk/Typist in the 5th respondent society on 01.10.1999 and her services were regularised with effect from 01.10.200, vide resolution of the 5th respondent dated 15.09.2000, pursuant to the order of the Assistant Commissioner of Labour. Thereafter the petitioner was deputed to work in 3/8
the 6th respondent society for a period of one year and after expiry of her tenure in the 6th respondent society, her services were extended by the 3rd respondent from time to time. While this being so, the 6th respondent society passed a resolution dated 04.07.2019 for permanent absorption of the petitioner in the 6th respondent society and the said proposal was forwarded to the 3rd and 4th respondents, and the 4th respondent, in turn, addressed a letter bearing Na.Ka.No.3047/2019/ ka.vi. dated 12.09.2019 and forwarded the proposal to the 3rd respondent, who, thereafter, forwarded the same to the 2nd respondent, vide proceedings bearing Na.Ka.5153/2019/va2 dated 21.10.2019. However, even after receipt of the said proposal and the additional particulars in Na.Ka.5153/2019/va2 dated 01.02.2021, 16.02.2021 and 25.07.2022 respectively, the 2nd respondent failed to forward the same to the 1st respondent for approval and the said proposal has been kept pending for the past six years. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.
5. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice, if this Court issues a direction to the 2nd respondent to forward the proposal 4/8
submitted by the 3rd respondent in Na.Ka.5153/2019/va2 dated 21.10.2019 and the additional particulars in Na.Ka.5153/2019/va2 dated 01.02.2021, 16.02.2021 and 25.07.2022 respectively, to the 1st respondent and to consequently, direct the 1st respondent to pass appropriate orders for permanent absorption of the petitioner in the 6th respondent society, as expeditiously as possible.

Considering the limited prayer sought by the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the 2nd respondent to forward the proposal submitted by the 3rd respondent in Na.Ka.5153/2019/va2 dated 21.10.2019 and the additional particulars in Na.Ka.5153/2019/va2 dated 01.02.2021, 16.02.2021 and 25.07.2022 respectively, to the 1st respondent within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Upon receipt of such proposal and additional particulars, the 1st respondent shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve (12) weeks thereafter.

7. With the above directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
