Prayer: This petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider and pass order on petitioner's representation dated 18.09.2024 in 1/6

the light of GO.Ms.No.107 dated 03.9.2020 (Personnel and Administrative Reforms (S) Department) which is seeking transfer from Government Polytechnic Gooduveli to Annamalai University, Chidambaram and pass orders.

ORDER

By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

This writ petition is filed seeking to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider and pass order on petitioner's representation dated 18.09.2024 in the light of GO.Ms.No.107 dated 03.9.2020 (Personnel and Administrative Reforms (S) Department) which is seeking transfer from Government Polytechnic Gooduveli to Annamalai University, Chidambaram and pass orders. 2/6

3. The facts of the case is that the petitioner was working as skilled Lab Assistant under the 3rd Respondent/ Polytechnic, Kattumannarkovil Taluk, Cuddalore District. The sum and substance of the case is that the petitioner is a physically disabled person and he has to take care of his daughter who is also a disabled person. The grievance of the petitioner as he has to travel from Cuddalore District to Chidambaram to his work he was unable to take care of his daughter, due to which he has given a representation to the respondents on 18.09.2024 to transfer him to Chidambaram Annamalai University. However, the same was not considered till date. Hence, this petition. 4.4.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would be suffice if this Court issues a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation and pass orders.

5. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that they will consider the representation of the petitioner and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law. 3/6

6. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.

7. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for by the petitioner, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the second respondent to consider the representation of petitioner and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight Weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

8. With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.
