O R D E R

The Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent Police to complete the investigation and file a final report in Crime No.245 of 2023 before the jurisdictional court concerned. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that based on the complaint given by the petitioner/de facto complainant stating that her son was found dead under suspicious circumstances, a case in Crime No.245 of 2023 was registered under Section 174 Cr.P.C and Section 304(ii) of IPC. However, till date, the respondent Police have not completed the investigation. Hence, the present petition has been filed. 3.

The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent Police submitted that the investigation in this case has been completed and it was found that the petitioner's son had died due to heart ailments. Therefore, the First Information Report in Crime No.245 of 2023 was closed as "further action dropped" and RCS is yet to be served. He further submitted that the final report will be filed before the learned 23rd Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet, within a period of four weeks. 2/4

Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), this Court directs the respondent Police to file the final report within a period of four weeks from today. 5.

Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
